Well here we are – As “Dandy” Don Meredith used to sing on Monday Night Football back in the “Old” days, Turn out the lights, the party’s over!!! Yep, It’s the end of the event and as I reflect back on the last 4 days, I strongly believe I accomplished about 85% of what I came here for. How did I get to 85% – honestly, I have no idea. But the point is, I mainly got what I came here for. This entire experience brought to light many things I had never thought of before, things that I could have only realized by coming to an event like this. I won’t bore you with the specifics, but you can only learn so much from video’s, from books, from newsletters etc… It’s being present in the moment that really counted here. Remember yesterday when I consented that “She” was right about being in the moment more – well dangit – it really is true.
When you are immersed in and surrounded by the “Thing” that is your passion, you can’t help but to come to certain realizations, you can’t help but pick up the tips, tricks, ideas, and hopefully – the motivation to not only continue, but to turn that passion into a community driven experience. “Visioneers” – that means you. And that my friends, is what happened. Connections made – check, thought provoking questions and answers – check, Solid ideas and where to take this next – check. And, I came to find out if I belong, if I could hang, if this was all just a hobby that got lucky, or if there is actual talent that came to the surface with me – check and mate. What is exactly next, well that will take some thought. But I do know one thing is for certain – I love to write, create and touch a nerve or 2, or 3, or 4 – you get the picture. How it all comes together, that will show itself as I go along, and the Podcast and the Website are the blank canvases with which I will create on – FOR NOW. From there, I see other avenues that I seem to be headed down. Avenues that would have never been on my map if I hadn’t started this little podcast of mine.
Here is another one of those – The Moral Of The Story Things – here goes, the moral of the story at this point is ( see I told you it was coming ) you just have to take a leap of faith and start. What you start may not be where you end up, but that is the real excitement about life. We all take a wrong turn here or there, we all make a mistake or 2, or 3 – again, you get where I’m going. but it’s true, the journey is the reward. It’s a gift to be given that opportunity, so except the gift, cherish the gift, use the gift the best and most positive way you can and most importantly, enjoy the ride. Learn from the mistakes and the bad times, Give thanks for the good times and any success that you receive and never, and I mean never stop working. You can retire from your “Day” job if you are lucky enough to do that, but never let your mind, body and soul quit moving. Stay with that passion and “Work It”. That passion was given to you for a reason. You may not know what that reason is, and really, who cares. It’s there. Just do it. Don’t over think it. And that – is coming from a man that is in the Overthinker Hall of Fame – when I sign pics from now on, i’ll be using that “HOF” thing the sports guys get to use. And by the way, the next pic I sign, will be the first one. Delusions of Grandeur – guilty as charged.
Remember folks, it’s all mind set. Don’t let ANYONE stomp on your dream no matter how big or small it is. It’s NOT their dream – it’s yours. Go for it!! You never know where it could lead! Thanks for helping my dream come true!! Stay tuned “Visioneers” – there’s a lot more ahead!!
