So, day Two is here and I must say that I am impressed. As I eluded to yesterday, acting on your dreams is a must if you want to know the feeling of success. And when I say success, it doesn’t have to be monetarily, it doesn’t have to be fame – it just has to be the realization that you made it through all the crap in life and still made it happen. Don’t get me wrong, I have had a blessed life, but one filled with trials and tribulations that could destroy a weaker man. With that said – that is why I have the podcast that I do. One that digs into why we are depressed, why we are filled with anxiety and most importantly, why we continue to let it happen. When there is a solution waiting for you to grab it, implement it and live a better life.
I said all of that because as I learn about what direction I want to go with Newvision Oldways – My thoughts go back to the beginning when I absolutely did not have a clue how to get a podcast up and running. It a satisfying leap from that point, to hanging with peers that I can learn from and connect with in an industry wrought with both the best and the worst that the podcasting world can offer, it’s great to be surrounded by positive people that care, want to share and ( fear of rhyming too much here ! ) want to bare their true feelings about the industry in thoughtful ways.
I learned that an 80’s MTV VJ Adam Curry is one hell of a visionary in the website and podcast world. He saw the value in all of that way before most others. Now, he is helping others succeed in that space along with helping churches develop their own podcast networks and bringing communities together. A noble ambition that is a passion for him. — Who saw that coming in 1987 ? Again – success comes in all forms. I raise a glass of Cab to you Adam!! Fight the Good Fight !! Thank you for the conversation as well.
So – as I further sip my Cab in my hotel room, I can honestly say that digging into the nuts and bolts of podcasting may sound boring to some, but for me – it’s like discovering new toys to play with that will expand my podcast / website / blog reach and bring the entire thing to a new level. I may not be Joe Rogan – but I am Tony Marinaccio and my Podcast community – known as the Visioneers, are changing the way their lives are being lived. Why the Visioneers all of a sudden – because it strongly suggests that the listeners are not just dreaming about new ways of living, they are Engineering them. It’s a movement, it’s a community of builders, creators and risk takers. Life is too short to not take that leap!! Hence – why I am here. And as a fellow Visioneer – there is no limit to what you can dream, no limit to what you can achieve – it’s all in the mindset and the actions you take. So – get out there and – as a great philosopher once said – GET “ER DONE!! See you tomorrow!!
